My Story: It All Began with a Journey

Hi there, welcome to my store, Pawlorful.
This is a little corner for some thoughts from the shop owner :)

I’m the sole operator of this store—from designing the products, to marketing, customer support, and even shipping. It’s all done by me alone.
If there’s anything I might have missed, I sincerely ask for your understanding. And if you ever have a question, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll do my best to help you.

Today, I want to share something personal with you:
Why I decided to start this store.

I used to be a video designer in the gaming industry. One day, a friend asked me,
"If you were 80 years old today, looking back on your life, what would you want it to look like?"
That question stayed with me for a long time. Eventually, I made a decision:
I left the industry I had worked in for five years, traveled 7,894 kilometers, and landed in Kenya.

In the Maasai Mara, I saw scenes that will stay with me forever:

  • A giraffe crossed the road, standing right in front of our vehicle. It was so close that I realized for the first time just how massive these creatures are.
  • During a heavy rainstorm, thousands of wildebeest stood silently across the plains, like statues frozen in time.
  • A cheetah came within just three meters of me—I could see its beautiful fur and strong, graceful muscles.
  • A herd of elephants passed by my window, and a baby elephant rolled happily in the mud. In that moment, the whole world felt quiet and peaceful.

But reality is not always so gentle.

The number of wild cheetahs is declining rapidly. Elephants are still being killed for ivory.
Too many young animals on the plains have lost their mothers—they never even had the chance to grow up.
I’m not a conservationist. I’m not a veterinarian. I can’t influence policy or reclaim lost habitats.
But I knew—I had to do something, even if it was small.

That’s why I created Pawlorful.
Through this store, I hope to contribute part of my earnings to animal protection projects and wildlife charities.

And of course, I must also thank my cat.

She was a stray kitten I rescued. The first time I saw her, she was just two weeks old—tiny, dirty, and honestly, a little stinky (she literally had poop on her face, haha).
Now, she’s six years old and a beloved part of my family.

Before I adopted her, I never paid much attention to news about animals.
I thought I was a cold and indifferent person.
But after she came into my life, I began to feel more deeply.
When I saw animals being mistreated, I cried.
When I saw lives lost on the savannah, I felt sorrow.
I started to care—deeply—for all the voiceless beings in this world.

I truly believe that cats and dogs exist to make this world a softer, kinder place.
And through this store, I hope to pass that love on.

Thank you for reading all the way to the end.
Thank you for choosing my store.
And thank you—for you and your furry friend—for helping bring warmth to the animals of this world. 💛
